Establish Youth Leadership, powered by students

1 PERSON CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN.

The key is to seed info and run Crash Course session #1

The rest is in the hand of inspired youth, forming a changemaker student club, backed by adult allies, including our global tribe.

A single YL volunteer, teacher or youth can spark this. BE THIS 1.

The idea (of education) is not to turn us into your kind of adults.

But into better adults than you have been.

Adora Svitak

Teachers are our young generation’s greatest ally.

They decide whether children and youth get a chance to learn how to create a good world, … or not.

Craig Kielburger

What is school's purpose?

BERLINER SCHULGESETZ auf Englisch, Education Law §1 goes like this; check yours online

“The purpose of schooling is to fully unfold the young generation’s potentials to grow into able, active, caring citizens of a libertarian, democratic society, with solid conviction to withstand violent ideologies, sustain rich and intact nature, a healthy environment, and continuously evolve society, in a harmoniously collaborating global family of nations.”

Today’s adult generations are failing in every regard.

100 years of subject teaching have not achieved it.

But now, we can achieve it, together. At last.

The solutions exist. But we need all folks caring for people and planet to get involved at record speed.

#MakeSchoolAwesome

Cultivate Youth Leadership @ School
using fun swift, simple steps

Hiya, intrigued, but unsure if you can activate your school?

Well, if you love youth leadership, I think you can. Let me explain.

Here's the plan (2min)

We have all been to school. For years. We are all experts on suboptimal school experiences and what would be cool. Many ministries, schools and teachers are already doing way beyond cool stuff, that the general public has no idea of. We take all caring people by the hand to shift their view from own traumatic experiences to the brilliant new, and to upgrade their minds, activate their hearts and get their hands moving to boost this new learning culture by equipping the caring teachers and students and parents that exist at each and every school, fully aligned with school’s purpose and what they love to see at their school. So, calm down for a minute – and learn how to #MakeSchoolAwesome.

Need a drink or cookie to keep calm? Go get it.

Let’s go.

Billions of people love teen hero*ines. They are showered with awards, invited as speakers and regarded as ultimate role models. Teachers use their stories and films in class. They even back millions of students #climatestriking following Greta Thunberg’s example. so, of course they are even more excited about teen hero*ines with tangible solutions for people and planet that uplift learning culture at school !! Craig’s example at 16,000 schools proves it. Now let’s spark it at schools near you.

Good teachers love active, caring students and meaningful projects, but they need resources and help to inspire students’ motivation, vision, can-do feeling, and provide them with tools, tricks and partners for self-organizing cool changemaking initiatives as a student club.

We can provide these required inspiring resources straight from the world of changemakers … with 400+ activities, with favorities for everybody. That is new.

We provide supreme quality sourced from humanity’s finest changemakers’ knowledge and resources united on one platform under one banner. Their stories are already in use by teachers. Greta Thunberg’s speeches are just one example. Of course the same is true for Zander (300K schools), Babar (100K schools), Craig (16K schools), Emma and Julia, Cassandra, Chloe, Avalon, Coral, Wyatt etc. These things take place isolated, used by a few equipped with few resources, only in touch with one person or NGOs providing only one topic, only “their” initiatives. We combine it all, with an abundance of resources and support, enabling manifold greater scope and level of activities than possible to-date. It’s simple: pure spirit, unity and diversity equal strength, magic and set off fireworks.

Plus, we love you. If you care, you are part of the Tribe of the few. We work with you, and love to hear of your needs, dreams and ideas to serve tailored options aligned with your setting. Then, let’s share your aspirations, adventures and achievements with the tribe, for more follow-up.

We are recognized with multiple status with UNESCO (your schools’ quasi high priests) as Official Project of the UNITED NATIONS Decade of Education for Sustainable Development ESD 2005-2014, Pacemaker status in Ashoka + LEGO Foundation’s re:imagine learning Challenge, Eric has been honored the Images and Voices & Hope Award, YL teams with the UNITED NATIONS Online Volunteering Awards 2010 and 2012, and “best practice” in UNV’s Annual Report 2010, have attracted 12,000 online volunteer applications (that’s 10% of global UN Online Volunteers), Eric is member of the National Round Table for the Implementation of the World Decade of ESD in Germany, UNESCO, and has sparked that Youth Leadership be one of the three national year 2012 priorities.

We know School, of all sorts, all over Earth. We know how teachers think and how students feel. We have tested our modules in various settings with various groups, on all continents, including Antarctica, with excellent results, summed up as : 90+% of students agree “this is new to them, highly inspirational, important for their generation, and should be part of life at school.” Can it get any better?

We connect changemakers with teachers, youth, parents and citizens for exciting high value learning activities in class and as club, co-create learning environments serving the entire school community and enrich learning culture and school culture in many ways. Real-time collaboration with today’s Einsteins and Gandhis; this is historic!

We use common school practices for the topic of “creating a good world for all”. Stories, film clips, teaching tools, presentations, exhibits, projects, skype meets, excursions, media production, fests, UN Days. Simple. There is no additional workload for teachers, no need for big training, time or finance.

Activities are student club-run to 100%. Motivated, active, passionate students are every good teacher’s dream come true. And as they begin to evoke splendid changes like their hero*ine peers, make headlines and score awards, the board is proud, and school is re-discovered as a learning hub of innovation for the community, like in the days when academies carried the light of knowledge into the world.

Teachers use resources as add-ons to bring global issues to life with hero*ines, solutions and vivid media, enrich and animate subjects, projects and fests. 89% of WE School teachers report higher professional satisfaction.

This mix of formal, non-formal and informal activities makes youth leadership omni-present, carried by students, teachers, parents, volunteers and partners aligned by their focus passion. This is GOOD ENERGY radiating in many avenues, with many cascading win-win benefits of a healthy ambience and community. Ideas and activities unfold naturally.

All that’s needed is to kiss folks awake about Youth Leadership!

The LEVEL UP! Crash Course Session #1 provides this breakthrough experience. Anyone can guide this session. 90+% of session participants respond that youth leadership “is new to them, inspirational, important for our generation, and should be part of life at school,”

  • sparking demand for more
  • sparking a changemaker student club
  • sparking interest in teachers

who will handle follow-up.

The Student Club unites caring youth across classes and grades for a year-round stream of multifaceted activities in collaboration with our global tribe

Teachers use resources in class and invite club contributions

Parents and YL Volunteers support club activities on demand

Partners and Professionals team up with the club as project partners

Got it?

It’s common sense, common practice at schools, and fun.

Now let’s do this. Be the 1 to ACTIVATE A SCHOOL by connecting with caring students, parents and / or teachers.

BEAUTIFUL LEARNING CULTURE

These are common sense. largely student-powered activities that perfectly fit life at school. Keep in mind : if 1 student per class joins the club, that’s 20-50 fired up changemakers. It may be more. That’s an enormous force, with a wide range of talent, resources and relations – backed by 80+% of the student body, who join in on occasion.

YOUR ALLIES

You are not alone

You have lots of yet invisible allies sharing the wish for a better world and a heart to GIVE freely what they have, yet to be activated. Keep seeding the spirit – because it will reach them.

At schools, you know, are many youth, teachers and parents that love youth leadership and more fun adventure and action at their school. It’s dozens or even hundreds at any school. Once they get to see it, they’ll get activated.

In the community are organizations. You know they love youth leadership. There are caring professionals, entrepreneurs and donors, also journalists and funders, city officials and vegan cooks. You know they love teen hero*ines. This makes hundreds or even thousands in your city. It’s true.

It shall encourage you that these people will appear, and that your vision will manifest. This process is yet veiled in secrets, as it evolves organically, with surprises, but progress and victory are certain.

Ergo : trust that you find kind-hearted folks that love what you have to offer with YL resources and services.

And : study what ROLEs you and your professional friends can play, right now, and as the adventure unfolds.
